in 1983 during a Marine Corps Aviation Association Convention being held in San Diego, California, Lou Conti, Earl "Cherokee" Vaughn and Bob Simmons, happened to meet and after talking over the "Good Old Times", decided that it was time to hold a squadron reunion. After a period of intense search for former members of the squadron, the first reunion took place on 30 October 1985 st the O'Hare Marriott Hotel near the O'Hare Airport, Chicago, Illinois. Since that first reunion, the squadron membership has held annual reunions.
